ABSTRACT: Innovations in Online Learning Platforms for Vocational Training explores advancements in digital technologies to facilitate effective and accessible vocational education through online platforms. This study investigates how online learning tools, including virtual classrooms, interactive modules, and multimedia resources, enhance learning experiences and outcomes for vocational students. The objectives were: to explore innovative features and functionalities of online learning platforms for vocational training, to assess the impact of digitalization on vocational education accessibility and inclusivity, and to recommend strategies for maximizing the benefits of online learning in vocational curricula. A survey research design was employed to collect data from vocational educators, technology experts, and online platform developers, providing insights into current practices and future trends in digital vocational education. A sample size of 300 respondents was purposively selected to include stakeholders involved in online vocational training initiatives across Nigeria. The case study focused on the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), showcasing its pioneering efforts in online vocational education. Findings indicated that online learning platforms improved flexibility, scalability, and engagement in vocational training, enabling broader access to quality education. It is recommended that vocational institutions should invest in robust digital infrastructure, ensure training for educators and students in online pedagogies, promote digital literacy among learners, and collaborate with industry partners to design relevant and industry-aligned online courses for vocational skills development.
